I have used this pack on a few multi day trips since I got it late January. And overall, I’m a big fan. But it has had a rubbing noise from the top where the frame meets fabric and strap tighteners. After a few miles I want to here nature and not the ong rub noise. I emailed support to find out if there’s any possible resolution. I don’t fault for the customer service rep Hillary for pointing out that the original drop description did not feature any warranty, so after Massdrop’s 30day policy, I’m out of luck. But it does mean for me that I’ll go back to making most outdoor purchases through REI where I know I can walk in with a product I’m having a problem with, and walk out with a replacement or have it sent in for repairs. I guess for little things where durability is not a key concern, I can still have fun shopping around Massdrop.

How do we choose the pack size or is there only one available? I bought a stout 45 and LOVE it but in my excited state did not pay attention and got a large frame for my medium body. I don't want to make that mistake again!

KylfvckindThis is the 2017 Model. The torso length is adjustable. Stout is formed for Men and the Amber is for Women. The last Stout you bought sounds like the 2015 Model that had torso sizes. I have the 2017 Stout 65 and its really great for my needs.

I bought one of the stout packs in a previous drop and love it. Adjustable harness is easy to use. My first serious pack and this one seems legit. Well built, not too heavy and I like the pouches on the belt straps.

Just bought a stout 45 for myself. Although no regrets since doesn't look like this drop ships to Canada. Love the bag, lots of features, great weight. Sits really nicely against your back.

Was very disheartened that this drop was cancelled due to backorder. These were going to be late christmas gifts, but thank you MD for being on top of the process and refunding rather than drawing out the delivery. Get on Gregory to get these back in stock. =)

Got the 45 for myself and the 35 for my wife for our honeymoon to Thailand recently. The bags held up very well, and even while packed to the gills, were rather comfortable and distributed weight evenly across the back and hips. I haven’t much experience with other packs of this size or style, but we are very happy with them for the price. Well constructed, engineered and quality materials. Great value!
