Nice Feel - Much Improved Writing Experience
Original Review: The weight is good. And the cap posts snuggly and it has a good feel in your hand. Unfortunately, the pen does not write smoothly. The ink skips regularly which tends to be a problem with this less expensive fountain pens. I would not buy this again.
Since I posted the review, I took off the nib and the feed and soaked them in hot water for a few minutes. After they dried out, the pen now writes beautifully. Not sure why it needed that out of the box, but, I'd now recommend this pen.

Great signature pen, and very smooth writing nib. Especially impressive with certain colors.
(I am using a soft cocoa brown for signatures). Posts well with good balance.
Not meant for lengthy text or manuscripts due to size of pen. Would like to explore
more pens from same manufacturer with different nibs.

Received, inked, and tested. My example of this Grifos Oiko writes very nicely and became an instant sensation with members of the local fountain pen group. Cap is a bit cheap feeling compared to the silver barrel - but not enough to be concerned with. The guilloched barrel looks superb and feels nice - as does the rest of the pen aside from the cap. The nib is smooth and a nice writer. Looking forward to using this a lot and getting a little patina on the silver. I'd recommend getting one if you like the style - a nice instrument. Will look forward to seeing/buying more Grifos pens in future drops.

A beautiful pen that writes perfectly out of the box.
I admit, I had concerns about the nib, but they were clearly unwarranted. The nib is smooth and doesn't skip. There really isn't much of a difference between the way it writes than any of the name brand nibs, as far as I can tell.
Aesthetically, the pen is intricately designed. The guilloched lines in the silver flow beautifully and leave a nice contrast of white metal and black enamel. By far the most beautiful pen in my, admittedly utilitarian, collection.
