Love these. They are the perfect size for my hands and my hands don't get hot the way they did wearing grippy gloves. Also since my hands are kept flat there is less stress on my fingers and wrists. Would recommend to anyone.
These worked even better than I expected! I love the way they grip the fabric so that I can keep the fabric smooth while I'm quilting. Thanks so much for the drop!
I just received my Grip-Its today so haven't had a chance to try them. I did watch a video yesterday and they look like they will be so easy to use. I'm glad I ordered them and will use them on my next quilt!
These Grip-Its are awesome! No more gloves for me! I can also use them when doing ruler work, which surprised me. I would definitely replace them if I ever lost them. High quality product that I recommend to all quilters who do FMQing.
OK, so I haven't actually used these yet... but I wanted to give a review for their customer service. When I opened my set, I immediately noticed that while one laid flat on the table the other would rock up a good 1/8" above its mate. I e-mailed the company to ask it if would affect the use of the product at 8:50 EST on a Sunday night, and got a response 5 hours later at 2am! I wasn't expecting to hear anything back until the next day at the earliest.
They were very nice and told me how the little rubber feet were just twisted/pushed in by hand, and if they weren't in good it could cause it to rock. But they offered to replace them if needed. I twisted the feet in (just pushing as I had tried before didn't work) and it fixed it. I was impressed by how quickly they responded to my question, and how nice they were. Can't wait to use these for real, as they seem great.
These are great for free motion quilting and even for guiding a heavy quilt when straight stitching. They also can be used for ruler work with a special foot. They do not require a strong grip, just rest your hands on top to guide the fabric.
I have tried several different ways to guide my free motion quilting, and these worked better for me than gloves, hoops or u-shaped guides.
