Have received 2 orders of the Growl, Chirp, Play Quilt kit in 2 separate drops which included the extra half yard of white fabric with each kit. Once straightened the white fabric was not quite enough to complete the pattern cuts and had to buy 1/4 yard extra for each kit. I also didn't have enough of the color prints to make the fussy cuts of some of the specified colored flags. I was able to substitute other colors but bought another yard of the gold/green flags to avoid having to substitute for each kit. The fussy cut instructions say to center the flags for the 5 inch cuts. The width of the flags is slightly smaller than 5 inches so if you cut one flag too close to the next row flag color needed the centers are off. My flag fabric cuts that were provided in the first two kits were cut partially through two rows of flags so I was left with only two or three complete rows of flags to squeeze fussy cuts from. FYI The pattern gives two slightly different dimensions for the quilt (45" wide in one place and 46" wide in another). The advised cut for the backing (2 yards) is long enough but a 44/45" fabric width even including selvage is not adequate to cover the back of the quilt let alone to allow the 3-5 inch excess around the sides that most quilting instructions advise. Have just attempted to assemble the top following the beautiful full-page photo. If you wish to reproduce the quilt exactly as pictured, be aware that the cuts specified in the instructions do not match the the photo. The total number of cuts is correct but I was short two colored prints shown in the photo but was able to substitute others. I have emailed Michael Miller directly about the flaws in the instructions & fabric allowances but have not received a response. I would not buy additional kits given these problems.
