Love the two that I have (horween natural), but they're a bit thick for a very thin (Hamilton khaki manual) field watch. Are any of the color choices a bit thinner as far as the actual thickness of the leather?
petesabagelShell really varies so much even within the same shell, so it is hard to say. I tried to cut out straps that aren't overly thick.

GuardedGoodsactually, after reading your other comments in the thread... I'm thinking maybe my 22mm one was accidentally packed as the natural (unwaxed) one? because it's much more supple than the 20mm one I use on my speedmaster, and does feel a bit "glazed" in comparison. So, I'm thinking that the unglazed will probably match up with the hamilton (it's only 8mm thick!) really well. Unless you're planning on doing a drop for the 2 piece anytime soon? (But honestly I think the one piece fits the "field watch " aesthetic more.) would you be able to pick out a thinner one to ship me?
petesabagelThat may have happened! No plans for a two piece drop at the moment. I'm not sure if they can include any notes specific to an order but I can do that if someone at Massdrop knows a good way to communicate this.

GuardedGoodsHmm, so what would you put on an 8mm thick field watch? two piece or the unglazed natural one piece?

Ben.LuI don't, I usually wear it with my speedy, and tried it on the hamilton, and it just didn't look quite right (probably because the strap really has molded/patina'd to match my speedy) Which Khaki do you have? The Auto, or the manual wind... i thought the strap was too thick on my manual-wind because that watch is so thin.

Ben.Luyeah, i'd either stick to the non-waxed, or a 2-piece strap on that watch, it really is super thin (LOVE it though)

Ben.LuI usually wear mine on a 2 piece i got from massdrop (the popov one) and the unlined leather really goes nicely with the watch, but since the lugs length is so long it tends to flop around on my wrist a lot, and the leather is a bit stretchy, so the clasp has come open on its own before. which is not the best.
that said, when i did put the hamilton on my [sealed] GG shell cordovan, i didn't even notice the watch, it was like i was just wearing the strap. I think the non sealed one will be better though, since it's so much more supple (i think i got that one accidentally in 22mm in the same drop, and wear my seiko 007 on it, and it's definitely thinner and more floppy, but since it's 22... i can't really try it on my hamilton)
