Guide 10 Plus Solar Kit (41022) is Goal Zero's latest model to be offered to the Massdrop community. This rugged little package contains one 5 watt solar panel, and one Guide 10 Plus Battery Charger with batteries. Now when everything goes bananas, you'll be prepared to handle keeping your various electronics full of juice during the Zombie Apocalypse. Alternately, you could also be the coolest backpacking buddy ever when your friends forget that their cell phones run on electricity.
The build quality and synergy of this product is amazing. The solar panel has a mesh pocket designed to hold the battery charger, and the battery charger is properly speced out to not be destroyed by the solar panel. In addition, there is an LED light on the battery charger itself, so that you can both test to see if your batteries have a charge, as well as see what you are doing when it's dark out.

That said, what you need to know is that the batteries included in this pack can be charged via USB or via the Sun (from the solar panel). In addition, this particular kit is able to power your smartphone, your flashlights, as well as any cameras you may have (even DSLRs). It is not feasible for charging your laptop or anything that provides heat, and while it can power a tablet, it isn't recommended.
