I ordered one of these earlier this year, and it didn't work out for me. Tech support was helpful though. This time, I hope things are different. For one, Windows 10 Creators Update Class 2 USB Audio driver. Fingers crossed.
yurivThe Windows 10 Creators Update driver only support playback, no recording yet in the versions we've tested. We have a Windows 10 specific driver now that should work very well, though, and does support both recording and playback.
H2DesignsI don't mind the driver install. The main problem the first time was with the hardware on the unit that I had earlier. It didn't meet the published specs. It was putting out over 3.6 Vrms, much higher than the specified 8 dBu. That would have been fine, but the output also had much higher measured distortion than an iPhone or a MOTU interface. The line in measurements were similarly strange. I had e-mail correspondence with Jon, who was very helpful, but he said that, at the time, he didn't have the Audio Precision analyzer to verify my findings. So I just decided to return the unit. I hope this new batch works out better.
That's actually how I would suggest to improve the product--to include AP measurements of each individual unit, like Etymotic Research does with their ER4 series of earphones. I wonder how much that would add to the cost though.
