I'm really seriously considering buying this. I'm completely new to the whole 'audiophile' community and a lot of it I find really confusing and to be honest, a little bit snobby. I just ordered the Sennheiser hd 6xx from massdrop and I'm looking to get an amp DAC that's relatively portable and can drive it. I also live in the UK so a lot of this stuff is more expensive where I live (despite Sennheiser and a lot of companies doing manufacturing in Europe) should I order this or is it worth waiting for something like the dragonfly? Also a quick question. Can I plug a modmic and headphones into my computer via this thing. It looks like just the thing I've been after but I would just like to check before committing. I have up to $200 to spend.

AlistairUKhttps://wellroundedsound.com/collections/products/products/calyx-coffee-dac I was looking in this range a few months ago and went with that - I haven't tried the MIYO, I'd be really interested to see how it compares to this though. I am very happy with the coffee, and pairs extremely well with my planars.

AlistairUKI've not heard this DACAMP but the dragonfly isn't super powerful when it comes to driving something like the H6XX. You'll find that the bass may suffer due to lack of power. BTW, if you have $200, perhaps you could consider the XDUOO XD-05 as well? It's a veritable swiss army knife and has oodles of power.

AlistairUKThis has alot of power. This does not work with portable devices like smartphones.

kltp567I have a Dragonfly Red and so far it will power anything I throw at it, even out of my iPhone.
