Is there a warranty on this watch?

RSacMassdrop's rule, as I understand it, is if a warranty is not specifically mentioned, there is none. There has been a great deal of discussion about this in the community, especially the watch community. For one thing, someone has to keep explaining this policy to newer members, and the omission of an explicit warranty is confusing. I am willing to live without a warranty for inexpensive items, but for watch purchases I am uncomfortable. In addition, with MD watch descriptions, no provenance is given, i.e., we don't know how long these watches were sitting around, (and what conditions they were warehoused), before being offered here. I just had my first experience with these policies--my Nightcore flashlight I bought on a drop was dead on arrival. It was a small purchase, MD replied "too bad, no warranty, send it back for a refund". Hope that helps, and folks, feel free to correct me if I goofed it up. Cheers, and happy watch collecting.

dholik8503Thank you for the explanation. I agree, for more expensive purchases it may be more of a risk that could potentially offset any savings . In my opinion, a warranty would provide some peace of mind.

RSacOne other option for watches. Check out watch repair shops near you. I have a great one very close I have been going to since 1981. They know me, they know I collect watches and give them business. I trust them and would not hesitate to take an expensive watch to them. I have learned from them some economics of watch repair---what would you be willing to spend to get a watch repaired? For a special or grail watch you might go the extra mile. Best regards.

arekxYes, it's frustrating beyond belief--we have been commenting about this warranty issue for drop after drop, and the SILENCE FROM MASSDROP IS DEAFENING. I am sorry to yell, but no warranty offered hurts watch drops and traction Massdrop might build with successful drops.
