Hanabi, the Japanese word for Fireworks, is the perfect title for this explosive card game from R&R Games. Players must work together to plan the perfect fireworks display by placing cards in the exact right order on the table but make too many mistakes and the show will be a disaster! This game features a unique mechanic where players can’t see their own cards, and the other players must give hints and help them play the right cards to win.
Gameplay
Hanabi is a cooperative game meaning players must work together to achieve the highest score. The deck is made up of five different colors of cards, labeled 1 to 5 in each color. Players receive 4 or 5 cards depending on the number of players, and they cannot look at their own cards but are allowed to show everyone else their cards. Players will try to place each card from 1 to 5 in order and in the same suit using hints, deduction, and the help of their teammates. An extra suit of rainbow colored cards are included for variant play.
