I would like to address the questions regarding why this product is on Massdrop.
I am new to the Massdrop community, but not new to the EDC community. I’ve been long involved in the EDC community at large on various forums. I came over to support what Massdrop is already doing, focusing on getting you, the community, all the fun products that you want, but to also bring in more exclusive EDC drops. I think it’s great if you prefer to carry a $20 pen, or a $60 knife but that’s just the tip of the iceberg for EDC gear. There are also $200 pens and $600 knives available, these tend to be largely handmade, in small batches by artisans, and we want to make these available to you as well. We are here to work with the entire spectrum of vendors, from the entry level knives to handmade pieces. My goal is to make a higher grade of EDC gear available to a wider range of people and grow this Massdrop community.
Jeff Hanko’s Ti Shot Glass is my first drop here and I wanted to introduce it to the Massdrop EDC community. This product is for EDC enthusiasts and especially for the Hanko collectors and the Titanium guys. This is a great piece of gear that’s only available at a handful of places, ever. Bottom line, this drop is not for everyone, high-end enthusiast products are not supposed to be, they are for folks who are deeply passionate about their gear and know what they want.
I want this to be a successful drop. I discussed this with the vendor and for this drop only, we have added a lower drop point and reduced the cap to 10 pieces.

DuaneWeikumMassdrop does drop expensive things from time to time but they are usually not criticized as much as this drop

They are not widely criticized and usually sell a lot of units due to the high discount and the desire for them from the community in the 1st place.
They sell well because they have decent or amazing discounts to justify the long shipping time of Massdrop and people do understand their value .
An expensive pen can give you better feeling and feedback when you are trying to write,some even does amazing things to your writing.An expensive Amp can make your speakers or headphone sound better and people desire that,i don't think people here hate expensive product,they just dislike product that are both expensive and don't serve a purpose.People here enjoy something that is beautiful and practical.
Don't get me wrong i am not saying this product isn't amazing but most people will agree with me that it is not $224.99 amazing,and there is nothing much you can do with it.If you want to drink expensive drink normally people use glass and they have their reason,not just that you can look at the beautiful color but also to prevent the metal taste in the drink or temperature change that might ruin the drink.
If you do bring this cheaper i think most people will stop complaining,but if you think it should be this much it is also ok.But please do not think or suggest Massdrop is made up of people who are too poor to understand art.
