Considering shipping & VAT on import, Europeans really should look into buying from HanWag directly. Comes out to roughly the same price (might be 10-20 euros more, depending on the current exchange rate), has a wider size range and includes a chance to return the boots if they don't fit.

I'm interested in this GTX style boot, but recently when I went to REI to replace a pair of 20 year old hiking boots with boots from the same vendor, their sizing had changed. I ended up not being the same size as the pair boots I was replacing. Therefore it is really hard to buy shoes online without being able to exchange in the event the size is wrong especially with a massdrop style policy. No one wants to hike in a wrong sized boot.

These look like nice boots, but I have never had good luck purchasing any kind of boots, sneakers, or shoes on the internet.
IMHO footwear should be tried on, and then if it actually fits right, purchased.
After all, the worst thing in the world is a poor fitting pair of boots, when you are already out in the trail!
Brick and Mortar stores like REI, Cabelas, LL Bean, Bass Pro, Orvis, are best for purchasing boots.
If I was going to purchase footwear on the internet, I would be more inclined to purchase footwear from Amazon, as they clearly indicate free shipping, and free returns on most, but not all footwear items.
So what happens if somebody purchases this boot from Massdrop and it does not fit?
Are you stuck with it, as I see no information about returns, or warranties?
Massdrop, why not make that information easy to find, and clearly visible on the drop page?
I did see the following declaration on the description page:
"After the drop ends, payment will be collected and the group’s order will be submitted to the vendor up front, making all sales final. "
So this would seem to say that if the boot you ordered does not fit, then tough luck, all sales are final!
Why would anyone risk their hard earned money by purchasing boots from Massdrop with that policy in place?
Certainly not me!

If one remembers how other Hanwag drops went, the wide sizes will NOT be offered in future. If you want this in wide, time to buy now, later drops will not have the wide option.
