This isn't a bad deal for an automatic watch with a workhorse miyota movement that's made to last at 6 ticks per second. 99 bucks isn't going to get you a sapphire crystal let's not kid ourselves. many seikos in this price range do not hack or hand wind with the 7s** movements either.
i picked this up in beige because i wanted a real beater watch that was large and easy to read at a glance, and I have a few too many seikos already, so i just wanted something a little different. the color choices and combos are well done, the dial is clean, classy and easy to read, and the big negative - the caseback - isn't terrible if it's always covered up anyway. Either way, watches in this price range don't have much to really view through the crystal casebacks, so it's not like the hideous logo is covering up anything interesting anyway.
Another "plus" for this watch is that if you're looking at flieger style watches at entry-level prices, this watch uses the same tier miyota movement that Laco uses for 1/3 the price on this drop, missing only the sapphire crystal and "made in germany" designation.
If this watch drops again i'll give an update on how it has held up.
