Really bad. They broke within a few months of normal usage. I think you're paying mostly for the box and extra goodies which are mostly useless. Avoid.
I hope you don't get a bad pair as I have been trying to get mine replaced since July. It took till August to get a reply from Massdrop. There is no way to contact Havi. I sent snail mail to the address in Jersey on the box and still have not got a response. Finally got a response from Massdrop Aug 5 and took till Sept 5 to get a resolution working. They got my defective set on Sept 14 and it took two emails and messages on Twitter and Facebook till I got a response today Sept. 27. I would not have a problem if I could contact Havi. You can't go to the website that is on the box. I don't understand how a company can produce something and not support it. If you can find there website I would like to know it as I would like to bypass Massdrop as they suck at customer service as far as returns. Yes I'm pissed. So take my experience with a grain of salt.
Anyone know for sure which Comply ear tips are the right ones for the Pro 1?
Fearlessleader
I'm using t-400's and they fit just fine.
just wanna say that i saw these pop up in my emails and I really do not recommend them. I paid only 50$ for them but they broke after 2 months of light use (the plastic shell broke where the screw is) only by removing them from my ear. They are very uncomfortable too despite having many different buds and the sound quality is cheap. You have some kind of soundstage but both the speaker and tweeter are of average/below-average quality for this price range. It's basically trying to do more than it can and it shows. Wayyy low bass, muddy mids, shrilling highs... But i guess at least the sounds are "defined".

Do all B3 Pros have channel imbalance or is it just some units?
FYLin21
Just some units, but there seem to be a fair amount of the B3 Pro's having channel imbalance.
Any news when these are going to get shipped as I ordered them last thursday and haven't heard anything?
I'd like to add a note that the Havi B3's are not known for their bass so getting these if you have a dance/edm/hip-hop library will not be a good fit for you.
Massdrop will not reply to a problem you have as I have tried to reach them for over a week and no response. I went to the problem site and they sent me a pdf that would not work on my Mac or PC and I printed and filled it out and scanned it back to them and still no response. It has been over a week.
Over a week and no reply from Massdrop on defective unit. The Havi website is maleware ridden says google. So I try to take care of this with Massdrop and they have not replied to me. The pdf file that you need to reply with is not formatted right I tried on my PC and my MAC and it would not work. I told them that and still no response. I am really getting angry that no one cares.
Well have a driver on the left side that is buzzing. One week and a problem not too happy now.
I got mine and love them (Pro 1). First thing I played (Keith Jarrett, Koln Concert) was superb. No amp needed with my iPhone or iPad, but I did need to carve the case's hole a bit to fit the jack.
So many tips... I've tried a few and the "roundish" ones give almost no noise isolation. The only ones that seem to give any (and not a lot) are the two flange ones. Since so many IEMs come with three flange tips, I was surprised these didn't.
I wish one of the L/R letters would have at least been a contrasting color to stand out.
Do they really need to burn-in? Really???
Mine came in today and the the packaging for the product is over the top. You would think you were getting something that cost 10x as much. This is my first set of IEM"s and as everyone has said a amp is needed. I have two pair of Planar headphones so I have the amps and these are close to the power need. For the money I find these to be an awesome value. Only a cursory listen and I find them very good. They are a little bright but not too much to be fatiguing. The bass is respectable. Totally hate the 90 degree connector. All in all a very good purchase. Thanks Massdrop.

Is it still worth it if you don't have an amp?
Looking at Audiophillac's comments on amping the Havi's does anyone know if the iPhone 6 will drive them OK. More than likely I'll never use the Havi's on the phone since their not mic'd but was curious anyway. Even though my X3ii can drive them I'm planning and hoping my new Hybrid Valve amp will synergize with this setup!! Appreciate the tip on KZ tips as well;-)
Is the channel imbalance in every unit and some people just don't notice it or are only some units affected? I've even read some people say "the channel imbalance gives it unique sound and a huge soundstage" and stuff like that.
These look identical to the Sennheiser IE series. I wonder if they are just re-brands... I may consider.
Meringo
The housing of the Havi B3 does resemble the Sennheiser IE series but they are not the re-branding. The B3 is a dual-driver IEM while the IEs are all using single driver. The B3 Pro 1 got a lot of hypes and praises on head-fi about a year ago so I bought the Pro 1 based on all the recommendations. To be honest I wasn't very impressed with it. It has the clarity that everyone was talking about. But it also sounded a little too thin and bass-light. I am not a basshead but I do appreciate a decent bass when the music is calling for it. It didn't fit as comfortable as other IEMs I have. I tried several different amps I have and I could hear that Pro 1 would sound a little different with each amp. But none of them could make it to sound the way I want it. I don't use EQ. I haven't burned it in for 150 hours like many has suggested. I don't believe a burn-in will make a fundamental change to the sound quality. It is what it is. Everyone hears the sound differently so sound quality is very subjective and you should make your own judgement. For any headphones I would normally read not just the positive comments, I also read all the negative comments to find out why some people don't like a headphone. Because I might be one of them.
I have these they are awesome. great wide soundstage and imaging. Needs an amp. also get pro1 not pro2
In my opinion anyone who's serious about iem's should have a B3Pro1 in his/her collection, sooner or later... A reference and unique sounding iem... Anyone who's thinking of this iem, I strongly suggest you to buy a set of KZ eartips (blue-core, whirlwind type). They fit and seal better than the very popular JVC Spiral dots. They sell 1.49USD (free shipping, 3different sizes set) from an Aliexpress store. Best eartips I came across so far ( Ihave tried over 90 pairs of different eartips, but again YMMW). Is amping necessary with B3P1? From my experience (I have been using the B3Pro1 for 1.5 years now) it depends on your source. If you're using it with a weak source such as Sansa Fuze it needs extra amping. If you're using it with Fiio X3, X5 or xDuoo X2 amping is not a necessity. Amping brings slightly more body, warmth (depending on the amp) and slightly more bass to these (your mileage may wary). Topping NX1 is a very popular, small, portable, cheap but excellent sounding amp with B3Pro1. Buy the B3Pro1, find the best fitting-sealing-sounding eartips for you first and then decide to get an amp or not. For some cases you won't be needing an amp. For others, it may bring life... Just experiment...
Do these still have channel imbalance issues many have experienced?

Yeah I use an amp & DAC combo (Schitt Magni and Modi) I also use the pro 1's with my phone (Moto G 2nd Gen, and now OPPO Neo 5) and sometimes my iPad, I also use the Schitt Fulla. Same problem across all devices, right earphone more quiet then the left. Good thing is you wouldn't notice the channel imbalance if you weren't looking for it, still a great set though.

I used my first pair close to 2 weeks before realising something was amiss. I was listening to an album I was very familiar with. It was mono, but it had a strange "stereo" sound to it. Upon testing via audio check.net driver matching test, I found the mids were rather weak on one side. I got the faulty set exchanged (not from Massdrop) and had no problems with my second pair.
Shipping shows $8.24 to Canada, but is there customs for me to pay also, as I have heard with some products we get dinged with a customs fee also?
Thanks Yakov. With two drivers are these better than the shure 215s also available now, but that don't need an amp (needing an amp is a turnoff to me).
Fearlessleader
Never tried the 215's so I can't compare.
I used my B3s with my amp this morning and didn't notice any difference other than loudness. I primarily use these with my OnePlus One phone with the bass increased to 30%.
you need and Amp for these :) they sound Amazing with it. Measurements are kind of funny. like the Phillips X2. but what you ear is quite splendid. Do not use with your phone. At least A Fiio X1 will do them justice.
The Pro I's sound signature are rather unique for IEMs at this price point. For that reason alone you should get one if it is within your budget. Rather balanced sound, with a good amount detail. Unusually good soundstage for an IEM. Some say it sounds as if it was played from a tube amp; I have no experiences with tube amps so I cannot comment on that.
The drawbacks are that it is rather power hungry and an amp changes it from a weak pair to something rather wonderful. The bass is almost non-existent without an amp. With an amp, the bass improved a ton, but could use a little bit more. Fitting could be an issue, so one might need to experiment with the ear tips to get a proper seal.
