Are the sizes waist (pant) sizes or belt sizes (larger than waist)? I couldn't find any clarification on their website.
For example, I wear a size 38" pant, but measuring my current belt, it is 48" long.

merlin_r68Hi, the belt sizes are tailored to actual waist sizes; a large for example ranges from 37" to 40" waist. The end tab/tail of the belt is + 11" over and above the waist size of the belt [i.e. Size L = 40" + 11" / total belt length 51"]. The 'side adjuster' & 'adjustable D-ring' models have 2-3" extra inches of adjustment for the perfect fit.

I have a couple of these belts and really like them. A black and a coyote, both with slide side adjustment and 3 interchangeable buckles; a friction buckle, a 2 piece cinch buckle, and a cobra buckle. $25 base and $3.50 shipping is a pretty good price.
