SanthuThe Pico Power as an amp is a huge step above the E5 and will drive your 6XX about as well as they can be. We're talking 4x the power with far less THD. If you're not happy with your source however you will likely be better served with the Pico DAC / Amp than the power. The DAC/Amp still has around 2x the amp that the E5 does.
The E5 does have more versatility with gaming modes and bluetooth. However it doesn't have particularity high bandwidth bluetooth, and I've never found those gaming modes actually help. Personally I'd recommend the better performance and build quality focused picos

botisto@botisto Thanks for your help bud. I will be using my Samsung S8 as source, do you think i need DAC/Amp instead of power?
Gaming is not my concern, i already have Sound Blaster X7 connected to my Xbox. I am looking to buy a portable amp for my HDXXs.
Do you think changing batteries will be a pain in pico amps?

SanthuPico. Headamp has been doing this stuff for a long time, hitting the mark more often than not. Soundblaster has not had a real presence in the audiophile market until the last few years, and their presence is questionable, IMHO. Go with the know quantity. Go with what has traction on all the audio boards. Maybe soundblaster can make a lateral move and widen their market, but it is too early.

Santhu I'd go with the power for the s8... It's got a decent enough DAC and the pico power has a very high 50k ohm input impedance so it's putting almost no load on your S8's amp so you'll get the best possible performance out of it.
People get 40+ hours out of the EBL 840 rechargeable li-ion batteries which is pretty insane. And it's only two thumb screws to change them. I actually prefer having removable batteries in this case... amp tech like this doesn't really go out of date and when your li-ion batterys can't hold a charge anymore you can just put in a new pair. If Justin from HeadAmp had included the circuitry to charge batteries the amp would have to be bigger, and that pretty much sums up the no BS performance attitude.
I'm in for this drop on the power for my HD6xx and Open Alpha T50s :D. Had been researching portables before the drop and nothing really comes close to the power anywhere near this price.
