I have had a PR20 for about 6 or 7 years and it is my absolute favourite snare mic. Sounds great on guitar cabs and vocals too. For voiceover/podcasting work I prefer the Heil PR40, or a Shure SM7B. But this would do a similarly good job.

GoroAgreed. One of my favorite snare mics. This is a killer mic.

This mic is a strong alternative to the sm57 for guitars. It's got a similar (though less extreme) high-end rolloff, and more bass than the shure. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on what you're looking for.

I believe this microphone is a top choice for podcasting.

How does this compare to something like the ATR-2100?
