@Massdrop The description on this drop is... not your best work.
Manufacturer's web site: https://www.thetinmill.com/products/helic
They list the dimensions at 0.39" Diameter, 6.1" Length, and 2.3 oz Weight. They also do a much better job of showing the mechanism in their photos -- it's a twist action rather than a traditional linear plunger-type click. Can we get some better photos please?
Also, what's going on with that label on the clip? That looks... bad.

DataI concur - the description needs to be revised. And it'd be cool to hear a response about the branding on the clip - that looks misaligned. Was it 'shopped and they couldn't get the angle of the text right?

okesterI've looked at it a few times now with the full-size images. It almost looks like a piece of clear plastic covering a laser-etched or pad-printed logo. Notice that the "sticker" doesn't completely cover the first T character in the logo. Need more info from MD...

DataI guess I haven't paid attention before, but does md or the project manufacturer (like The Tin Mill) come here to answer questions?
Anyway, thanks for the observation; I do see now that it could be some clear overlay on the logo, so maybe that's on there to help protect the logo from scratches or something (aside to The Tin Mill - will the finish on the pens be durable/scratch-resistant?), however, isn't the logo not squared up on the clip as well (like it's slanted from upper left to lower right? https://massdrop-s3.imgix.net/product-images/helic-machined-pen-by-the-tin-mill/MD-33182_20161229110713_591b59623b438245.jpg?auto=format&fm=jpg&fit=max&w=&h=&dpr=1&q=
Are these pens irregulars or ones that didn't pass qc for the ks project or something?

okesterI think the manufacturers kinda come here of their own accord to answer questions. It's not required that they register on the site. It does really help the related drops, though. In this case I think we can get by with just an MD rep answering a few questions for us.
And you're right, the printing looks badly misaligned on the clip.

DataWell, some "official" response'd be appreciated, even if it's some acknowledgement from md of the issues you noted.
For other drops, I've seen some here from project creators at ks and sometimes brought it up to them at ks, and a few times they've said that someone's put in an order of their items and is reselling them here at md, and they have no involvement in the drop. Sooo, it could be that official comments from the manufacturer won't come if the drop is provided by some other party.

okesterMaybe, but that would not follow the standard MO for Massdrop. They like to work directly with the manufacturer for everything when they can.

DataYeah, it could be just be instances which aren't the norm. I could've sworn there were more than two instances, but only found a reply about one of them when I told the person I saw their items on md (excerpt): "Massdrop? Actually, that particular pen has been picked up by distributor. I didn't even know it was on Massdrop! ... The distributor places orders and then sells them. I think this particular distributor has a relationship with Massdrop, already. " Anyway, just fyi. :)
