================== WARNING: If you buy any devices from Winnergear that contain batteries, you may not be able to get them replaced or refunded if they're faulty. ================== I purchased these HERO earbuds directly from Winnergear, not through Massdrop. After a good experience with their reversible USB cables - I bought 2 of the orignal design and four of the updated fully reversible model - I was confident about buying the HERO earbuds when they came on sale. What a mistake. The earbuds arrived in professional looking packaging with the 2 eaarbuds, a charging case and a USB cable. I left the earbuds in the powered charing case overnight and the following morning the lights indicated that both earbuds were charged. I tried to power on the earbuds but only the right earbud would show any lights or turn on. The left earbud is needed to pair with a device. After several rounds of putting the buds in the charger, checking that the lights showed it was charging, then trying to get the left earbud to turn on I turned to Winnergear support for help and was told to ship the complete set to an address in the UK. It turns out that, because the earbuds and case all contain lithium ion batteries, the only option to ship these internationally is over $60 USD, for earbuds that cost $90 USD to begin with. I asked Winnergear to suggest options for returning the earbuds. I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount to return them if they can offer a way of doing it. Winnergear stated only that they do not pay return fees and have offered no help with this other than to offer me 50% off my next purchase, and subsequently have not responded to further emails.

lizardb0yWow that totally sucks!
I decided to go to their website, and in the footer where it says warranty, clicking that only leads to their shipping/returns page, which basically means they have no actual fine print for their warranty.
I gotta say that's pretty bad, and they really need to have some form of fine print, though on their actual page for the earbuds they have this:
"We know HERO is the best True Wireless earbuds out there and we have so much confidence that we offer you 60 days to test our earbuds, go for a run, test the fit or just chill with red hot chili peppers… During the 60 days you can return it for a full refund. You love your HERO earbuds but something happened during first 2 years? no worries, we got you covered! If something happens to your HERO earbuds we’re always here for you. Broken = Replaced no questions asked."
So in saying that, I'm assuming you should be able to get them fully replaced, due to the fact that they have no other fine print (as I can see on their website).
Hopefully you get this sorted, because it really isn't fair that you paid for a product that no longer works.

f03n1xThey have now offered a USA address to ship them to instead of the UK address. This does not help me because the only legal way I can ship them anywhere internationally is inhibitively expensive, but it may help others in the USA.
