qu11355I'm looking to get one second hand, what do you think of their sound?
Would you recommend them?
Also, what amp are you using with them (if it is a good pairing or not)?

JordanLewisThey sound great, better than sennhiser HD600, and Philips x2. He500 is a neutral sounding headphone, with fast hitting/better/tight bass. The mid and vocals are better than HD600 and X2. HE500 is clear and sounds more intimate, has better instrument separation. Less comfortable.

JordanLewisOh yes I would recommend them, I'm using the grace design m9xx amplifier, im sure you can find a cheaper one that can drive the HE500. If you can't find a HE500, or you can't afford it, I also recommend the HE400i, they are great as well and easier to drive, they have the sound signature of hd600, with better bass. Many people like the HE400i better than HD600. I personally have not experienced the HE400i, I hope this helps and good luck.
