I contacted support, and await a response. Nice knife, but not as advertised

Tenacious-CYup, I'm still waiting for an actual response. Got the generic immediate auto responder upon submitting, then a day later another autogenerated "high volume, someone will be in touch, blah blah blah".... And now it's the weekend, which means I'll have waited 5 days for a simple customer support response IF someone responds some time Monday

We shall see. Not sure why this would be an obvious misrepresentation, other than it being a mistake on Massdrop's part. I don't believe anyone's actually "scamming" anything. Hopefully this gets resolved

Tenacious-CIt's that they don't know what they're selling....which is forgivable once or twice considering the nature of this particular knife......but I've been watching these same discussions in at least 3 previous Higonokami drops. The last discussion I was involved in resulted in them having to send out an email to all participants offering a chance to cancel because they had the details wrong. You'd think they would've learned after that one. It may or msy not be intentional scamming, but at the very least it's a pattern of negligence with no attempt yet to improve

I just finally heard back from support via email with an apology, a promise to pass the information along to those who need to see it, and a partial refund ($10 back on a purchase of 2 knives, which is cool I guess, but still only brought it down to like $2-3 less than I could've found this model elsewhere *shrugs* it's the thought that counts, right? Lol)

KavikJust did-they want pictures, etc., to support my complaint. Fine, but honestly? They have the evidence in the pictures of the drop itself.

Tenacious-CI assume you got the email by now, but was happy to see it in my inbox, saying they realized there was a mistake, and were giving back credit of $10 per knife ordered
So, at $12.50 per knife, I think we made out pretty decent for the blue steel version 😁

KavikYes-thanks. I did get the email, so at least there's that. Still would have preferred the "right" knife at that price, but I'll take this!

Tenacious-CAbsolutely agreed πŸ‘ But... A) at least this makes it back into a deal that makes it not worth returning (unless people want to stand in principle) B) I'm very glad to see that the resolution is something that got applied to all purchases, whether or not everybody complained..... Since many people would've never noticed C) I'm glad that this really hit them in the wallet this time. Not to be petty and vindictive, but because hopefully this will finally get them to get this straight BEFORE the drop next time
