The set I received sharpens like Stainless Steel similar to my Misono UX10 (I believe they use Sandvik's 19C26) - i.e., flattening the bevel on the large kiridashi was not fun at all. Also, no sign of rust or patina like in high carbon steels. I suspect the maker offers high carbon (there’s evidence for that on the internet), but this set was stainless.
Has anyone else experienced similar impressions flattening the bevels on these?

Just curious as to why a poll for this set shows the MSRP as $100.00, and the cost for this drop is $119.99?

I've been interested in this set for awhile. I have a modest set of verrry tiny chisels and gauges, which are all pretty worse for wear.b
It looks like this drop has increased, though, from prior offerings? I think I saw someone mention the scent costing them $104? Now it's up to $120?
Anyone who owns this set, would you say $120 still makes this a solid deal worth picking up?

TacotimeI'm still on the fence as well, for the same reasons. I have a small set of carving chisels, but this set looks nicer, but for the price I'm not sure I do enough carving lol
If it include a hook knife that would probably nudge me in the direction of the buy button, as that's something I don't have yet
Regarding the pricing... $104 was a year ago, not much hasn't gone up in price in a year's time. And it also looks like people were paying $104 plus shipping then, vs $119 with free US shipping now. So, still has gone up a little, but not as bad as it seemed at first

Noticing some other comments on left handed versions.
Except for maybe the gouges which look asymmetrical, are these tools not ambidextrous?
