This knife is also made by Benchmade, but I feel it is superior to the mini griptilian. Far better deploying and closing with an easy wrist flick. The mini grip "bounces" more, but this one is rock solid. Also, the handle is much better. This knife you can easily clip on to your pocket and easy to remove, yet stays put and doesn't fall out. The mini grip is too "rough" where the clip meets the handle and is difficult to clip on to your pocket, and "grabs" when you are trying to take it off. Overall, I feel this is a much more superior knife, excellent pricing and the blade is good. I believe that the plain edge knife is better than the combo. Since the blade is short, having a serrated blade isn't necessarily useful. Given that the plain edge when sharpened is already short enough.
