I would be in on this if it were the full size. <3 inch blades means the handles are short and won't fit my hand. Spyderco techno was a disappointment how tiny it was even though reviews raved about how massive and hand filling the little knife felt.
I have two hk axis locks. HK vs benchmade is almost an Epiphone vs Gibson or toyota vs lexus comparison. My HKs function great and were a bargan, but the fit and finish was a little worse than the benchmade 710 which I compare them to. My HK's didn't have skelotonized liners which makes them uncomfortably heavy. I think these are actually drilled out, so I'm not sure what the difference is between these HKs and other benchmade mini axis knives.

lobsterThanks for pointing that out, I was about to jump but then when I realized it was the mini... I had to re-evaluate. I don't quite know how anyone would rave that the Spyderco Techno is "massive" though.

lobsterThese HKs have drilled out liners, so they are pretty lightweight, 2.8 oz. is a good fit for me. The fit and finish for these current HK offerings from Benchmade are exactly the same as all my other Benchmades I've gotten, i.e. spot on. There is no difference really between this and other small Benchmade knives, which is what makes it great in my opinion. Now that they've stopped outsourcing the HK lineup to China, you can get slightly more "tactical" designs with standard Benchmade quality. D2 is a pretty good steel that isn't as common as a standard steel for the regular Benchmade lineup, but it's pretty much all they use for the HK side given it's strength and overall sharpness.
