I have delayed this review so I could check the longevity of the knife besides the looks and immediate feel (I beleive a knife is a knife and is to be admired but of most able to be used). The knife is really nice however I agree with others with the slight impractical-ness to it: Pros -nice hard sharp BLADE (explain later in cons) -I like the feel and grip of the handle not to small for my giant hands but friends have liked it also even with their smaller utensils. -it has maintained sharpness through rigorous use (i live on a farm, I have cut anything from wire, cable, boxes, twine, all and even fresh hunted hide (note easy to clean also)
Cons -The handle as comfortable as it is it just sucks being in my pocket in a day it wold start bending and warping (it would end back straight but still worrisome). -The handle material would "separate" off the handle from the point where the blade starts (wouldn't go any further but makes me worry it could "potentially" peel apart to easily).
Overall very nice knife the metal seems sturdy but that is all I will give it is sturdy. for a (no offense to y'all but I require Tonka toys) townie or a city dweller it will fair well to open letters boxes normal carry but anything beyond that I would not recommend. To the point: It is a nice piece to look at and all but it is not a real knife in the hands of someone who wants a knife to USE and WORK not a pretty think that is mainly used for a letter opener.
Yes I know it not a huge made knife and not meant for that but a knife is still a knife and should e able to be used as such. However I applaud the blade because this one has at least not dulled, snapped or like other just straight out bent in half. So kudos to this manufacturer.

This knife is highly impractical for EDC and I purchased mostly for the novelty and as an complementary piece to a shadowbox display. The knife itself is not low quality, but the shape and orientation of handling the knife leaves a lot to be desired, but thus is the very specific nature of karambit style knives. As noted by others, the sheath is underwhelming and the shoulder strap is impractical and not really useful if you have a large chest. United Cutlery makes some decent pieces but their steel has always left questions on how high of quality it is to myself, which is a personal opinion of a company that makes mostly show pieces and historic/museum replicas. If you have a specific desire to own this particular style of knife, then I would recommend this fixed blade karambit over the foldable variants, but this is mostly personal preference because of the particular shape and function of the knife. For reference, the 3 star review is mostly because of cheap feel of the handle, the accompanying sheath is borderline throw-away and the steels is questionable compared to other brands like OKC, Kershaw, Kabar, Mcusta, ESEE or even lower end Spyderco or Kizer.

It seems solidly made but not real practical and the sheath is garbage.

seems to be a good solid knife. I keep it by my bed if something goes bump in the night

Well made and beautiful! Obviously, this weapon is intended for one purpose and I have no doubt it would be highly effective. The shoulder harness is a little awkward though. Still, a 5-star product.

This knife had a great look and quality. The holster could use some work.

I love it! Although I did have to modify the case slightly and create my own system to secure it to my belt while out hunting or to keep it concealed while out in public. Aside from that tidbit, I would highly suggest that anyone interested in carrying a self defense knife daily, pick this up. Lightweight and comfortable in your hand, either blade up or down!

Honestly, I have been searching for a good Karambit for a while that wasn't over priced and this one more than met my expectations the knife itself is a great deal and is really good quality. The knife is also balanced very well. and the black finish I got on mine looks amazing. It came with a harness to wear it on your person which in my mind just seems unnecessary and it felt kind of cheap. But for the price I would definitely recommend!
