Observer1000That one is a bit smaller, and is made from sub-par materials, not that the united cutlery one is anything special, the only reason why the UC Honshu is so popular is because it is the knife that the karambit from CSGO is based off.
Observer1000The one on Amazon if your lucky is 440 and most likely half as thick. Cheap Pakistan crap. Good luck with that. Did you notice the seller avoids direct answers to simple questions.
B3H1NDuIf you measure the knife I got on Amazon straight across tip to bottom it is (7.5 "). If you measure this same knife tip to bottom on the curve, it is (8.5 "). Since the blades on both knives are (4 "), I would imagine that both knives are the same size.
I guess it depends on your reason for buying the karambit in the first place. Like who buys a karambit anyway. If you are a knife collector perhaps the fancier, inscribed designer finish blade from Massdrop is the way to go. The karambit I got on Amazon for ($8.48 - free shipping) say (440 stainless) on the blade and it was made in China. I selected the black matte finish. It was also available in the stainless steel finish. I think the main difference between the two knives is the
sheath. The Amazon karambit hangs upside down in a sheath that is attached to a neck cord. You wear it concealed under
a shirt (etc.) You slip your hand under your shirt and you are good to go. The Massdrop karambit offers a choice.
"Shoulder harness sheath or boot clip sheath (depending on your choice)". Either way both all three karambit sheathes combinations violate the conceal weapon code in my state. I leave mine on the coffee table in my den. Everyone who sees it has to pick it up.
I also bought a Smith and Wesson folding karambit on Ebay for ($14.82). Since it folds up, it is legal to carry.
