Ever wonder why inkjet printers are so cheap? Here's why: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freebie_marketing
Want to get shafted in the wallet? Buy an inkjet printer. Otherwise you're better off saving a bit more (and spending a LOT less in the long run) and buying a laser printer instead.
HP's DRM shenanigans are definitely a new level of evil, but let's not pretend that the entire inkjet printer industry doesn't suck.

So I have a HP printer, they are not that bad.
Not that good either though.
Unless you need higher quality printing consider getting a cheaper model that comes with 3-month Instant Ink and use the 3 months code(SCHOOL3 i think? not sure still works) and bang you can get 6 months of free instant ink. That is 60 dollar in value and the machine should only cost around 90. If you use most of the ink that came with the machine your money is basically back(pricing according to HP). Instant ink will cover up to 300 pages each months. Be ware try to use the ink that came with your machine before activating instant ink because the page count will start the moment you activate.
