Based in Bristol, England, Hrothgar Stibbon has been making handmade leather goods for more than 20 years. The Bridle Belt is made from traditional English bridle (horse harness) leather from the Devon and Cheshire tanneries, and is about 3.5 millimeters thick. Each belt comes finished with either a solid brass or nickel-plated roller buckle and will give many years of good service.
Note: At checkout, you'll have your choice of leather color (Black, Conker, Havana, or Hazel), buckle material (solid brass or nickel plated), and buckle shape (standard, oval, or square). This drop is limited to 100 units. Please refer to the image at the bottom of the page for sizing information.
The leather is 100-percent vegetable pit tanned, a traditional English tanning process that takes several months to complete. After tanning, the leather is dyed and further processed. Bridle leather is known for its strength and durability, as well as its smooth feel and depth of color. It was historically used for horse bridles and saddlery, meaning that high levels of performance over many years was a necessity.
Hrothgar Stibbon belts are measured from the center hole to the end of the buckle. Measure your own belt between the most-used hole and the end of the buckle to determine your size. Do not order your usual pants size, as the belt will be too small. Most people order a belt 2 to 4 inches larger than their pants size.
