It is actually a very well made system, with parts created for each other. The guy behind the product was also involved in the protocols that led to the DVD, and had his own electronics manufacturing thing in the late 80's. I see the problem though - in the comments you can see folks balking at the price and thinking separates instead. Great product, perhaps not matched by marketing r&d to identify the correct demographic and design for that. Makes it even more endearing to me, but..

The price had me gobsmacked, but it wouldn't be the only expensive drop on this website that was aimed at much fewer users than another ATH-M50 drop. That said, no guarantee if the lowest price will be reached.
