Well, after six months of owning the H502S, I am very happy I purchased it. The wait took much too long but I eventually received it over a month after the projected delivery date.
The drone flies fairly well. It has two modes, easy and expert. Suggest easy if you've never flown before. The movements are too jerky. It turns too fast. I wish they made the controls a bit more progressive; slow as you move the stick at first and faster the more you move the stick. It seems to go from very slow to fast in an instant. Tried calibrating but it doesn't seem adjust well.
The range is about 180 meters(600 feet) max at an elevation of 70m(200'). The distance is displayed in meters(m). The screen starts to cut out at about 140m away; you have to position your transmitter so that the internal antennas (2.4GHZ for flight and 5.8 GHz for video) have a direct line-of-sight to the drone. If it gets behind an object like a building or a large tree, the video will cut out and return to home function will engage.
Video and picture quality is poor. It may be 720p, but a small screen capture size. My old iPhone takes much better pics & vids. It is still fun to take them though. I've taken cool vids in the mountains and over the ocean.
I've already crashed it several times from taking too many risks and it is still flying well. Will eventually replace the dented propellers.
Return-To-Home works really well, just add some elevation before engaging it to make sure you clear buildings and trees. It adds about 10 feet on its own but it may not be enough to clear tall objects. Accurate within 15 feet.
Follow-Me mode works really well too. I got on my bike and had it follow me and it did a great job of keeping up at moderate speed.
Flies for less than 10 minutes depending on how much you do with it; amount of movement and amount of video taken.
Buy extra batteries. You can buy them cheap on Amazon.com or Banggood.com. Buy a multi-battery charger as well; Amazon or Banggood Buy a carrying case. $18 from Baggood.com or $24 from Amazon.com. Banggood will take longer. Buy the soft canvas case, not the hard aluminum case to fit spare parts, tools and batteries. Store your batteries at half charge. If stored for long periods at low charge, they will die and won't recharge. If stored for too long at full charge, they will swell and no longer work and may even explode; see YouTube vids.
To summarize, not high in quality but high in features included and very fun to fly. It has features only found in significantly more expensive drones. Well worth $99.99

Juice2288" It may be 720p, but a small screen capture size. I'd like to do on my bike and try the "follow me" with an altitude like 50m straight above me. Do you think this is possible (and better: make "acceptable" video (I dont expect good video for that price, but average would be nice))?

OlivierPonsI can't compare the picture quality of this $130 drone to a $600 smartphone. For $130, I can't expect much in quality.
I found it to be pretty stable in the follow me mode. I took it on a hike and a mountain bike ride and it did a good job. The drone follows the controller. Just make sure you have enough tree clearance. And most importantly, set-it-down before it runs out of battery. Otherwise it will return to the original home-point that it took-off from, it will not return to the controller but to the original GPS coordinates.
