I have two Hultafors knives and really like them. They're comparable to Mora's in blade design and performance. The differential heat treatment is rather commendable, good edge retention. The main point of difference is the ergonomics of the grip. So have a look at them from that perspective if making comparisons.
[Edit] This knife seems to be Hultafors' response to the Mora Bushcraft Black. When you look at it from that perspective this is very good value.
Their normal line of knives are as cheap as Mora's in the northern hemisphere. But cheaper than Mora's in the southern hemisphere. (I'm Australian so hence the purchase).
This is a specialty line of Hultafors knives as they're trying to tap into the 'bushcraft/outdoor ' market so the price has been bumped up. Maybe the new additions are worth it to you.
[Edit] New Additions are: - Colour, - Grip on one model - Rust protective coating - Ruler - Webbing belt loop with ferro rod holder (the default plastic belt loop is a pain to use.) - Ground spine for ferro rod striking. (A lot of the additions can be DIY fixes, but wouldn't be as nice and many can not be bothered.)
