I use the 2 Liter Hydrapak Shapeshift, which is clear and not green in color.
It works great, and unlike my old Camelbak hydration bladder that it replaced, it does not leak, even when compressed in my backpack.
I have not noticed any bad taste, and it is very easy to suck the water out of the tube, and also to fill the bladder due to the the wide mouth opening.
I will need to perform some research, but the Hydrapak Force looks more like a military version.
Anyway, Hydrapak seems to be an excellent company, and is rated high by the guys at the Outdoor Gear Lab.
They rate Geigerigg number one, but I don't like that design, and they seem to be way over priced, so Hydrapak is number one in my book.
I hope this does not have the horrible taste that the 1 liter bottle and 2 liter reservoir which I bought from Massdrop have. I have washed them with soap, vinegar, poured boiling water in it, baking soda, and it still tastes nasty. I would never buy one of these products again.
ScoutmasterDadHave a look at the hydra pack website regarding the taste problem and solutions. Something about lemon, and freezing. Need to get some lemons first!
don404505Probably not great, it’s just a bladder without insulation. Which could be a plus if you freeze the whole thing... get drinkable water quicker 😂
but more seriously, the insulation will almost completely rely on what pack you put it inside.
