To answer my previous question. These are absolutely NOT compatible with the Sawyer water filters. It may be the same size opening, but the threads are of a completely different and incompatible spacing. Sucks for me as I purchased a bunch of these for that purpose (for myself and family).
DO NOT purchase these for use with Sawyer products.
Moral of the story. Trust your gut. Ignore people that quote specs back to you (rather than knowledge) as if that should be the self evident answer to your query.
Looks like I’m all set for white elephant gifts for a while.

dirtherderTotally agree! I wish I had read your post before carrying these out to the wilderness. At least I had the small sawyer bag so I could process water, but could not believe this company would make a well built and good sized reservoir that has a unique cap thread. Renders the two I have totally useless for me. I’ll go back to Smart Water bottles until I can find better reservoirs.

dirtherderThanks! I came here hoping someone would have this info. I guess it was too good to be true. Might still pick up a couple for the desert section of the CDT for when I want to carry extra.

dirtherderGlad I read your post! This is exactly what I was interested in them for and HydraPak is missing the boat until they are compatible with Sawyer products! TY
