DinguusGood question @Dinguus - These shirts were available last summer and we weren't able to get the same discount this time around. That happens sometimes and I wish every drop was the best drop, but it fluctuates with our partner's inventory, market demand, and so on.
MoonDoodand let me just say that I have been pissed at IB for going with a mixed fabric version of this t-shirt. i have been begging them to bring back a 100% wool tshirt the last few months. would love to see others contacting them and asking for it to return too. that is about the only way we are ever going to get IB to return to 100% wool.
DannyMilksOn the flip side, the nylon corespun model is much, much more durable than @abela's earlier version. I had one of those older ones and wore it traveling, literally every day with a pack, for a year. It had numerous holes in it after 250-300 days of use. So, I do prefer the addition of a little bit of nylon to increase durability, especially on a $50+ t-shirt!

abelaHi Abela- Icebreaker still makes 100% Merino garments in their Bodyfit 200 and 260 range. The numbers refer to fabric weight in grams per square meter. The new improved Tech Lite fabrication includes a dab of nylon to improve durability thereby increasing value for the end user. A Tech Lite is 150 grams per square meter, making it a perfect next to skin piece 365 days a year, the nylon is spun into the center of the yarn in the shirt, so you still get 100% merino next to the skin. I own both, and for me, the increased durability is preferred. Icebreaker will not switch back to 100% wool in this fabric weight. They have been at it for 20+ years so I trust them to arrive at the best fabric engineering. If you want higher merino content in a short sleeve crewe neck, you can grab an Icebreaker Anatomica SS Crewe, that will be 150 gram weight and merino with a tiny bit of lycra for 4 way stretch. Please reply if you have more feedback or questions. Happy to keep the conversation going!
