Seems quite overpriced for what it is, Qube, a wifi enabled bulb that was funded on indiegogo is 1000 lumens and has multicolour settings, is also wifi enabled and is less than half the price...

killerjerickHey killerjerick,
Collin from the ilumi team here. As I mentioned to sooperbaby in another thread, there are several differences that separate us from others like Qube. I've copied most of my response to him below.
For one, we have a patent that allows us to acheieve maximum color saturation at maximum possible brightness-- that means our colors pop with vibrance and fill your room with incredibly saturated color. We believe our colors and saturation to the best around, and our focus remains on creating a high-quality lighting product that will last for years to come. Less expensive novelty changing bulbs have been around for years now, but we try to keep pushing to produce a luxury, quality smartbulb with robust capabilities.
Secondly, our patented Bluetooth mesh network allows for complete home control with a super simple setup process. Like the Bolt, all you need is the bulb and a device, no hub required. However, our patented Bluetooth mesh allows our bulbs to not only communicate to the device, but they communicate with each other as well, creating a network of bulbs that can pass along commands from one to another.
Lastly, our bulbs are incredibly intelligent. Each bulb has its own built-in memory and clock, so anytime you set a default color, Rise & Shine simulated sunrise, scene scheduler, vacation mode, etc, those settings are stored right inside the bulb so that your device does not have to be within range of the bulbs for that particular program to activate.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

collin.sThanks Collin, apologies for the late reply, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me, I've ordered the Qube and after reading your comment I've decided I'm going to order the Ilumi a19, I'll compare the two and leave a comment here for others to see about the main differences between the two bulbs and which one seems to light up the room at a better quality lighting.
Again, Thanks for taking the time to reply and help some people understand what is outstanding about the Ilumi!
