So many new smart home devices that ignore the already established smart home wireless standards.

m8omanHey m8oman,
We selected Bluetooth when we first started selling our product 2 years ago in Spring of 2014 because we think there's a lot of merit to the proprietary Bluetooth technology we use in our light bulbs. There are many wireless protocols in the smart home realm right now that continue to compete against each other, and we feel that our patented Bluetooth mesh has a ton of opportunity within that realm. That said, we're currently working on integration with IFTTT, Amazon Echo and Works With Nest in an effort to bridge the gap across popular smart home peripherals. We're also evaluating other strategic integrations that will enable more people to experience the power of ilumi.
Happy to answer any questions you might have!
