Everyone please welcome Image Club Limited to Massdrop!
I had seen a piece that Vice Japan did on the brand launch and their classic imagery — later that year Brian and I were in Vegas for trade shows when we struck up a conversation with a friendly exhibitor about Circle Jerks and classic punk tees, soon to realize we were talking to the Doug, the man behind it all.
We immediately bonded over our shared love of old concert tees and photography. As we talked to him more, we realized that not only did he have great knowledge of the old punk scene, but was connected to LA royalty, from founders of some of our favorite bands to photographers with a massive breadth of work covering the LA music scene.
We feel privileged to be featuring a selection of Image Club Limited goods on our site. The product is truly a celebration of not just the incredible work of street-style photographers in LA, but also capture of some of the most interesting and rebellious times in music - the 80’s in Los Angeles, the punk, nu-wave and hip-hop scene was making ripples in the industry, away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
