After you put your coffee grounds and up to 14 ounces of hot water in the outer cup, wait three minutes for the brew to finish and press in the inner cup. The embedded stainless steel micro-filter traps the grounds below the finished coffee, preventing any overbrew and blocking out all sediment. Although the tiny filter holes allow for a variety of grind sizes, the Impress Coffee Brewer works best with a medium grind.
