griff06It's not conspiracy when it' well documented and many of us in the community are victims. You seem unaware that Trinity's website is now gone, people still haven't gotten products or refunds, and the same freagin people work at IMR --- INCLUDING THE MODEL THEY USE. You have to be blind or clueless to the situation to believe this is indeed a separate company -- and the fact that Trinity was Bob's own spinoff... just like IMR.

MeringoOr your all reading what you want from the facts . Bob has stated himslef he used the platform that Trinity did for his site. He also categorically stated that he didnt oen Trinity. But, of course, he's an evil liar with a masterplan....? Er. Cant think what though....

harpo1Facts show information that people have fabricated into a great conspiracy theory thanks to The Trinity HeadFi thread. They got hold of his personal information which shared some addresses or emails with Trinity and then made conclusions. WHICH ARE NOT PROVEN. Including Bob stating otherwise

griff06Marie Timms was the director and majority owner of Trinity. Robert James Timms (you know him as Bob), lives at the same address as Marie Timms and someone named Jake (that name might sound familiar).
So there is no conspiracy theory needed.

griff06Seriously his wife was listed as a principal, the Jake person he threw under the Customer Service bus has the same last name as he and Marie Timms, the other principal was Joe Watts of Rock Jaw where he worked. I'm only out a KS Phantom so I'm not in near the same boat as others but would not even attempt to get something thru a third party with the history here. If someone wants an IMR R1 go to his site byt it there where you have some recourse and not thru a third party, that's my suggestion. Too many skeleton's in the closet. this is not an MD ding as they are fantastic IMO, never had an issue but with IMR in the mix no thanks.

griff06Facts show that my PM4 and PM6 have never arrived. With the PM4 they still bothered to show a random postal receipt saying oh look we've already shipped so don't come bother us anymore. For the PM6 they just couldn't even be bothered. Mine was an early bird pledge even. 2 years on it's still a phantom. Truly lives up to its name.

griff06Mate, Trinity is NOT currently operational and definitely not sending products to customers.
Can you access their page? look at their one and only twitter post, it says the website it currently down and has been down since January.
The IEMs that me and other people are owed were originally designed by Bob himself and was a project started by him. He attempted to fix the fatal flaws with the IEMs such as the Airs but pretty much gave up. He passed the company and the project to another team who were even less competent. Currently there hasn't been activity from trinity and no one has received their products.

zero-0-0Problem is People are just making assumptions about IMR being Trinity when Bob has stated it is his own new company which nothing to do with Trinity. Something which is confirmed with ALL the reviewers of the R1 through conversations with bob.
I understand people are pissed with Trinity, i would be, and its known that Bob was an integral figure at Trinity. But he has stated he was not the owner of Trinity and that financial decisions were not solely down to him. He designed them and run the companies finances ? Not so sure.
What is certain is that Trinity is in the past. This is his own company and the IEMs are exceptional and so is the customer service. With regards to this drop that is all that matters

FatDoiSo feel free to drop your cash on them. All reports are they are nice, $550 nice not so sure, there's lots of options at that price point from solid companies with out the history of TAE/IMR. BTW even if they are backed by MD, MD suggest you attempt to settle with the vendor first so will have at least make that attempt let's hope that does not come up for everyone who purchases of which I will NOT be one.

sysdatcoAlready have brought them direct from IMR. They are the best IEMs ive ever heard. Some other reviews coming up from top reviewers will back that up.
Ultimately, its really not that important in the grand scheme of things, not at all.
But, they are brilliant. And people who have them will know this, people who dont will never know and buy something else and probably enjoy those!

For the record I have seen the reviews, I'm active on Head Fi and THL under a different handle and have been for quite some time. I also own Hyperion, Vyrus, DVII and Master so I am very aware of what he can build and what issues there might be with the ChiFi production of his items. Please refrain from commenting back to me as I am tired of this debacle and long since removed from anything TAE/IMR related. My initial reaction was more of a buyer beware. Do whatever you damn well please but know the history behind the man and company. Yep MD will stand behind the drop but you still get the aggravation than many many many people have experienced more than once to go thru first should the pattern play out. Hope it all works out for everyone. Done.

So yea i will respond as I am also tired of reading all the bashing going when I, and others, who HAVE BROUGHT THESE, have had nothing but stellar service and a fantastic IEM.
If anything Massdrop should get involved here as you guys are sabotaging not only IMR but Massdrop. Done.

Sure, maybe IMR is different, but we have the right to say our concerns based on what we experienced. Whether or not you wish to purchase the product should not rely on our opinion, nor does your decision concern us. If you bought the item, received it and are happy with it then good! I'm not buying it because I have my concerns and I would personally rather spend my money elsewhere, and I am free to share my opinion and past experiences with others. The same applies to many others who experienced the same as me.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BROUGHT THESE IEMs SAY THEY ARE AMONG THE BEST THEY HAVE EVER HEARD, and you know what, everyone received theirs within days of purchase. More than that, he will answer any questions within minutes of an email.
I brought these. They are exceptional, the customer service was second to none. I have never spent such money on IEMs but I dont regret it at all
This man has tried to move on from the debacle of his last employers, but people are trying to destroy his livelihood because his last company still hasn't made and sent out IEMs to customers.
If Trinity is 'HIS' company like everyone keeps saying, then why are they still operational and sending products out to customers?
People need to realize the damage they can cause a person with all this bashing and conspiracy theories. This is the sad truth of social media. You can't see them in person, so anything, however hurtful or crushing is fair game.
People are owed IEMs from TRINITY. Not from IMR
