For the people purchasing these MONSTERS, purchase a silver occ litz cable and enjoy the MUSICAL BLISS! They open the soundstage wider, give you an even tighter, deeper, harder hitting bass, the clarity will also excell, while also bringing the vocals and details out further! Test them out on YouTube, Feel the Bass. You will immediately notice the similarity of sitting in a low rider truck with sub woofers behind you POUNDING! Only the bass you feel won't be blowing at your back. It is going straight into your ear drums, vibrating and pounding! Be absolutely prepared for the ringing of your ears. If you are a basshead, you'll want more and more!!What a lovely experience indeed!!!Also, let them burn in for two days, as they will open up and play correctly. This will stop the congestion and driver flex! The black filters sound good to my ears, but I simply love the copper ones! They give me everything I ever wanted in an iem! Basshead territory with crystal clear mids and highs, without losing the details in the mix I love hearing! WOW! WOW, WOW!!!Guys and gals, you're gonna love these!! I was so crazy about my Aurisonics asg 2.5/2.0's until these arrived. Now they are in the cabinet collecting dust! The best pair of iems I've EVER OWNED point blank!!!!!! Bob's customer service is bar none! His shipping is super fast!! You will not lose and only gain from this purchase! Congratulations to all that have purchased and to all who will! You will be telling people excitedly just as I am !!!!

IdontevenknowdudeWhat size 2 pins are these cable? Which specific cables are you are you using?
Talan7The cable I'm using is the Silvergarde S from Norne Audio! It's super!!!! He uses the Eidolic premier 2-pin which is supposed to be 0.78mm and I had it terminated 3.5mm trrs for a balanced output. It works perfectly on my set of R1's and sounds prestine! Hope this helps!!!

brownsoxYes this able is quite expensive, but worth every penny! On top of that, you have to wait while the cable is being assemble (approximately three months). Here is the Headfi thread: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/norne-audio-was-norse-audio-feedback-impression-thread.606500/ Incase you'd like to read the impressions of his brand! You can also ask him if he has any b stock you can buy, terminated to your need, that can ship immediately! Hope this helps you!

IdontevenknowdudeIt’s just my own thinking, but i think there is something wrong if it takes $480 cable to make the iems sing. That’s just me though. I can’t swallow $480 cable on a $500 iems.

andypak01I was thinking the same thing.
andypak01I didn't buy this cable just for these iems, firstly. The R1 is priced far under its REAL value and it sounds extra goodie goodie with its stock cable! ;) A custom cable can be used with all of your headphones that are terminated the same way. A well made cable just adds more to any headphone! A delicious sounding iem, paired with a delicious cable only means a scrumptious meal!!!!
