Actually, I encourage people to buy this. It'll help fund the production for the rest of us who are still waiting on the rest of the Trinity IEMs. I'm sure these sound great based on all the positive feedback from those who actually received them.
So Massdrop, please continue to help Bob with this. The more he sells, the closer the rest of us get our IEMs from 2 years ago.
hernandocoActually, after checking out the head-fi thread I encourage people to take legal action against Bob and Marie Timms if they took your money and did not deliver.
everything is documented on head-fi.
MassDrop probably is not even aware of this or familiar with the details of the story.
Wilberforce55valid point, however I assume he does at least something.
Witn Trinity it was always a current pre-order to fund the next one. The R1 are in stock so he had to pay up front. just an assumption; some of funds from Trinity made their way to IMR. According to head-fi the wife was the main shareholder?
The whole thing stinks badly though.
McColNo it’s official documents from government websites.
Unless you believe those are fake and fabricated which is a different discussion altogether.
Quick Google search and you can find it. You don’t need to rely on head-fi.
I‘m glad you like the earphones but the fact you’re trying to ignore the background of this company is beyond hilarious.
ItismrTIm not ignoring any thing, I’m also not saying the stories on headfi are fake, people were ripped off by trinity not IMR, if people who had no experience with trinity don’t want to buy what is actually an awesome earphone then fine that’s their loss.
I don’t care about the background of Bob and a company he used to work for. I bought them via credit card on paypal so any mishaps with not receiving and I would have my card refunded. I even chose the pay after delivery option. So hardly beyond hilarious reall.
McColYour argument makes no sense.
People who bought from Trinity and got ripped off bought from BOB. The same IMR BOB. MARIE TIMMS was the majority shareholder of Trinity - she is BOB’s wife.
BOB wasn’t just an employee and based on their connection you can clearly stay oblivious to the facts. When things went south he changed the tone to “I was just a contractor“. Read his own early posts on headfi, he presented Trinity as his own brainchild and introduced himself to the people running headfi as the OWNER.
On top of that Trinity and IMR are located in the EXACT same office. What a coincidence.
I don‘t care if the IMR R1 sounded like a $5000 Headphones. You bought an item from someone who provides great customer service when collecting your money and is flaky when there is no money or stock left.
Some IMR customers treat the brand like a cult lol
If people choose not to buy based on BOB and his sketchy history they have a good reason to do so and not support this sh|tshow.
ItismrTOf course it makes sense.
I don’t care about the past history, bought a product from a company that is not trinity, received product with no issue.
I really hope that the high moral ethics being preached by people on here stretches to everything they purchase however I highly doubt it.
McColI too have bought from trinity and received my IEM with no issue and had great customer support
UNTIL sh~t happened and the company disappeared
so what if this happens to IMR ?
It's still a young company and who's to say it won't happen again?
zero-0-0Valid point but a risk I’m happy to take.
In 15 years of buying ‘premium‘ earphones and other portable equipment I’ve only had one issue with my AKG N5005, the nozzle broke in the first week, returned for a replacement, however this was probably my own fault as I was using tips that I had to wrestle to get off.
For the price I paid for the IMR if they go wrong and IMR have disappeared then so be it. First world problems really, I’ve got far bigger things that can go wrong in my life.
Lets face it, I’ve read of folks who have bought from well established companies that people get sexually excited 😆 about when they write about them who have terrible customer service.
So Massdrop, please continue to help Bob with this. The more he sells, the closer the rest of us get our IEMs from 2 years ago.
