Heyyyy so I’ve got a question, if I wanted to spend around 300 for a nice durable pair of iems to use while working out, what would be a good choice? I’m using an iPhone so a lightning connector is a plus. Im looking at these if I really want to stretch my budget I’ve heard they occasionally sell bstock on Facebook. But other than that I am looking that the massdrop universal plus and the campfire audio nova ck. If anyone has some suggestions or input I would very much appreciate it!

ItsAeolusI can't speak on durability, but i ran on the treadmill with my new massdrop plus universals and they didn't give me any problems. Course the music was so loud that the slight microphonics ppl complain about was not an issue, but they really got me pumped to run. No lighting connector though... And I must admit I eq'd the sound a tiny bit on my V20.

ItsAeolusThe nova is okay, but probably among their worse IEMs. I’d take a look at their new Comet IEM - it seems to be getting pretty good reviews.

Helpbotlol yeah I don’t have a mobile dac/amp to carry around and fiddle with their sound signature and such. Also any input on the people complaing about the wires comming loose in the plus?

ImabaeAlright noted. I haven’t really heard too much about the nova besides it’s just one of their older models. I was a little bummed when I refused To let myself get into the Lyra ii drop on here haha

ItismrTI’ve seen way too many poor reviews about hem and I know their build quailty is lackluster so I won’t touch those but thanks for the reccomendation

ItsAeolusAnother route if you want someth for the gym is all wireless IEMs. Jabra, Bose, PSB, and some other have good products. Check out the Jabra 65t/ 65t Active - they seem to be a solid choice.

ImabaeI'm sending my Comet's back today. I couldn't turn the volume up half of what I could with the NuForce EDC before the bass and over all sound turned into a muddy nightmare. Maybe I just got a bad pair, but imo the NuForce EDC IEM is far better. I use them when I go play disc golf as well. So far no issues in the sun.

TacoHerderInteresting. The comet’s one of a few Campfire Audio IEMs I haven’t heard yet, so it’s nice to get some input on how they sound. At $200, it seemed like a pretty great choice.

ImabaeI absolutely love the Cascade cans I got from them though. I would love to try another pair to support them. Any suggestions for a bass lover? Thinking maybe the Lyra ii. Don't want to spend too much more.

TacoHerderPersonally, I prefer the Polaris to the Lyra II (and I really like the Polaris as a complement to the Andromeda), but given how people have compared the Cascade (which I haven’t heard yet) to a full-size Vega, it’s possible that you don’t find either to be quite what you’re looking for? I know prices for Vega have been coming down since they released the Atlas, so it might be possible to find a used one that fits your budget.

ImabaeI've got another question so... do you know if the Audeze isine cipher lightning cable would fit in the massdrop plus iem or some other iem with two prongs or is it a proprietary cable? If it can work with different pairs of iems that would be very neat and would make my search alot easier

ItsAeolusI have a bunch of MMCX IEM's and I just bought a new Westone Bluetooth MMCX Cable for them. I know that $100 is a little bit steep for just a cable, but I've spent hundreds on my Linum G2 SuperBax and Bax MMCX Cables, and for $100, the Westone Bluetooth MMCX Cable is pretty decent. As long as your listening device is close and not jammed into your pockets, the signal is usually pretty good. Should be great for exercising and working out if you leave your listening device out in the open. I love listening to that setup at home with my Campfire Audio Andromeda and Westone UM Pro 30 IEM's. So if you really like the sound of a pair of MMCX IEM's that you already own, then you don't have to settle for a crappy or expensive pair of Bluetooth ONLY IEM's, and can turn any MMCX IEM's into a great pair of Bluetooth IEM's!
That said though, my Shanling M0 (Absolutely LOVE this amazing little music player already and might buy a 2nd one just to have around) and Sony NW-A35 Walkman both support the Sony LDAC codec, and I've been thinking about grabbing a Sony MUC-M2BT1 MMCX LDAC Bluetooth cable just for use with my CA Andromeda IEM's, to take advantage of the better and higher quality sound of the LDAC codec!
Once I get the Andromedas paid off in another month or so, I'll definitely be grabbing the Sony MUC-M2BT1 LDAC Bluetooth MMCX Cable though for sure and trying it out! I wish it was smaller and more portable and foldable like my Westone Bluetooth cable is, but if it's better quality sound, then I don't care. Then I can use the Westone Bluetooth MMCX Cable with my two pairs of Westone UM Pro 30's, and keep the Sony MUC-M2BT1 LDAC Bluetooth MMCX Cable strictly for my Andromedas!
So point being, if you already have a good/great pair of MMCX IEM's, you don't have to buy or settle for a pair of Bluetooth ONLY IEM's. Just get the Westone MMCX Bluetooth cable or something similar if you're just using the SBC/APT-X/AAC codecs, or splurge for the Sony LDAC Bluetooth MMCX Cable, if you want to use the highest quality wireless Bluetooth codec. I'm listening to my HQ 24bit FLACs that I record myself at concerts/shows, with my German Schoeps mics and USA made Sound Devices recorders, so I obviously want the highest quality possible when listening to my portable setups most of the time!

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?

Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
