I feel like there needs to be some clarification on what this is/how it's assembled. Are the acrylic spacer pieces an add-on to the existing Infinity Ergodox case? I'm guessing the replacement baseplate spans the entire thing and holds it all together? By "baseplate", is this referring to the bottom layer of the entire structure or the piece that the switches are mounted into? If it's the latter, I'm guessing this means desoldering switches on an already assembled dox. Also, does it have to come with the giant "I:C" cutouts?

puffyfluppyThe description explicitly states no desoldering required. This is a replacement for the acrylic bottom layer along with a couple pieces that function as wrist rests. The rest of the old case (including the switch plate) is re-used.

IaeenYou are correct. I read it as "no soldering required", the first time I looked at it; which, I thought was a curious thing to say.
