So from what I've read so far, I have a few questions.
What is the differnence between the DCS and the DSA keycaps? As a person with no soldering experience, how difficult/easy will assembly be? Will this drop be featured again? if so will there be printed keycaps? will there be an aluminium case? will there be an option to buy it pre-assembled?

Mjrulz5As far as soldering goes, the switches are the only things you'll need to solder and they're pretty easy. I suggest googling a guide and watching a couple of videos. I'm sure you'll do fine. I find it quite relaxing.
I'm curious about the aluminum case as well. I'd really like one.

Mjrulz5I have no soldering experience beyond watching a few videos on YouTube, and I'm fairly confident I could assemble this relatively easily. This keyboard already comes with all the hard parts pre-assembled. As others have said, switches are probably the easiest introduction to soldering you can get (that being said, I do intend to get a cheap kit to try soldering before I actually take a hot iron to my $200 keyboard).
I wouldn't count on there being printed caps offered as standard. I think these caps are the same ones offered on all the past ErgoDoxes. Most people who use the Dox use a non "standard" layout anyway, so it would be too hard to get everyone to agree. If you want printed caps, I would recommend getting the board without caps and picking up the granite drop that's going on right now. Keep in mind, you will need to combine a couple of different options in the drop to get a complete labeled set.
Mjrulz5Here's a link to a previous post of mine that has links to youtube videos for soldering pointers, and some other commentary for assembly of the original ErgoDox kit. This one will only need the key switches soldered, and those are very easy to do.
