For those (like me) who ordered their keyboards without key-caps, there are two opportunities to add some style - The drop for the GMK Yuri key-caps (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-t0mb3ry-gmk-yuri-custom-keycap-set) ends tomorrow and the drop for the SA Carbon key-caps (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/carbon) starts tomorrow. Enjoy!

smoyerIt would usefull for the people at IC to include this information in the drop itself, so you can decide before you buy keycaps. Thanks for info though.

AlianosI should have posted this much earlier ... there are no sticky comments in the MD discussions so it would have been buried anyway so I think you're right that they should have added it to the description of the sale.

Lonk10I tell my wife that typing is crucial to my career - for more than the last 10 years before I got my first ErgoDox keyboard, I only typed on Microsoft Natural keyboards with occasional laptop keyboard use on airplanes. I even packed a Natural keyboard in my luggage for working in the hotel room. Typing on a good keyboard (with correct posture) has reversed some pretty serious problems I had in the late '80s and through the '90s.

Lonk10When I was in my late teens and twenties I had a set-up where the underside of my wrists rested on the sharp corner of a cheap desk. I got to the point where I felt electric shocks in my wrists at times. I think the most important part of typing is to get into the correct position (just like playing the piano). This means getting the keyboard very low. Since I have long arms, my keyboard tray basically rests on my knees but my forearms are sloped down slightly from elbow to wrist and then my hands droop down to the keyboard.
Once you get your hands into the correct position, don't forget that your posture will determine your long-term back health and practice the 20-20-20-20 rule for your eyes. Use a utility to adapt your screen color to the time of day and make sure you get up and walk around periodically.
