I'd love something like (many people need to learn the definition of the word 'like') this. However, I don't want to put it all together or have blank keycaps.

Also, if you do a lot of research on ergo boards, the ergodox is rather unique in some ways. The indiegogo campaign is a very recent and one time thing.
Anyway, enjoy your new board!

Like you walked into an Ikea and said "I want this, but I don't want to put it together", to which someone might reasonably respond, "Why don't you go to another furniture store?".
If you wanted to buy one pre-assembled, you could have simply asked that and probably gotten a better response, than to come off sounding offensive to begin with.
Also, to solve the blank keycap problem, check out the Granite Keycap set. I am typing on that on an ergodox right now and it's really nice. I recommend them!

anroNo. I simply stated I would love a keyboard like this that was not a kit. It is nothing like your scenario. As to the keycaps they do not look standard--hence the asking of keycap sets that would fit.

KomplexxIndiegogo has a campaign for a fully assembled one with a 2yr warranty. They have the option to buy with printed caps. Also, it is based on the original Ergodox design with TRRS cable to connect the two halves, the case is going to be molded ABS.

As for the keycaps, the indiegogo compain will supply an appropriate set of keycaps with printed lables if you pay for that. (Read the backer levels carefully). As for me I want localized caps anyway, so I intend to buy an 88-key set from WASDkeyboards, check of all three 1x1 compatibility options, and order some custom 1x1.5 and 1x2 caps. (after I have had my ergodox for a while and know how I want the layout).

Acknowledge the fact that text can easily be interpreted a different way than intended, since no tone, sarcasm, wonder, hostility, etc. can be transferred through it. Even if it seems clear, it might not be. Perhaps people understood your initial, implied question as hostile. Happens, but still no reason to make as big of a deal out of it as you do with insults... See @shinpai.na reply. He says the exact same thing.

Kinesis Advantage - Similar layout, but as a single unit with key wells.
Kinesis Freestyle - 2 piece keyboard, row-based, rubber dome keys.
Matias Ergo Pro - 2 piece keyboard, row-based, Matias mechanical switches, 3rd production run on pre-order.

KomplexxI don't think you understand. The two things you said you don't want are directly related to this keyboards primary advantage: customization.
If you just want a ergonomic keyboard, there are plenty of them out there (Maltron, Kinesis, TEK, etc...). Maybe do a little research for yourself instead of demanding that other people to do it for you then cussing them out when they don't. At this point you are just being a jackass.

KomplexxIf you want other options besides the indigogo for the ergodox ez, other keyboards worth checking out include the Truly Ergonomic Keyboard (non-kit) and Kinesis Advantage (non-kit).

KomplexxI saw another offer, but I too would be willing to sell a completed (original) Ergodox... Depending on the layout you want, I can do labeled keys. I would need to figure out the price I would be willing to sell them for, but if you are interested, I would calculate that. Basically, I will sell it for cost because I'd like to get in on the infinity version.

VegiIt's also not only about being/appearing friendly. It's also the insults that came later on with it. You can be "not friendly", like neutral or something, but verbally offensive isn't helping either. At best it invalidates your own argumentations and points. How valid can a point be, when only very few really get it and the others are 'fucking idiots'?
I had this once, someone told me that they know how to talk and phrase stuff and that clearly I must be wrong because I misunderstood. (It was addressed to me personally) If I don't understand and it is addressed to me, then this "I know how to talk and phrase stuff" is ridiculously wrong.
