Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). This is my first group buy on Massdrop but of the people I know who have joined others, only one has ever received a product on time. So welcome to Massdrop indeed.
In any case, the description does include a disclaimer about the ship time being an estimate. Also, HaTaa's early comments in the discussion made it clear that this was still under development. One thing I have learned about MD: ALWAYS read the discussion before committing to a drop.
I really wish Massdrop had an option for some sort of page with additional information or specifications where information like this could be posted and updated. Or even just a summary page of the important discussion posts made by drop leaders. Because the main description page is often more of a sales pitch with the finer details to be found elsewhere.
