Brief update for the group, we had to make a difficult decision on behalf of the community in regards to the manufacturer for the Infinity PCB. Due to inconsistent quality we have decided not to use our current fabricator and instead have opted to go with a fab that will be able to solder diodes and the USB connector up to the quality standards the community can be proud be of. In the process of doing this we will also have the new fab replace the current USB connector with a thru-hole type connector that will incur less damage from daily use. In order to keep the delay to a minimum we have ordered samples from many different manufacturers and anticipate making a final choice very soon.
We will post an update with more concrete info as soon as we make a decision.

HassanSWell, its good to see that the design considerations and feedback went somewhere. I just cannot imagine that the first two shipments were ever considered acceptable quality from any fab. Bottom barrel place for sure.
The lack.of through-hole (otherwise known as PTH) was a very odd omission, especially with the older Bent-Plate option. The USB connector used originally was of the lowest order of quality as well, shown by how many people still had connectors attached to the board, bit nonfunctional keyboards.
THANK YOU FOR FIXING THIS!
