Designed to provide comfort, stability, and support for all your outdoor pursuits, the Injinji Outdoor Midweight Socks make a strong argument for switching to toe socks. Each pair is made from NuWool merino wool with small amounts of nylon and Lycra for excellent moisture management in any weather Read More
I am toe socks devotee for years now. I had bad foot fungus from swimming as a kid, had to take meds in my twenties and again recently (35!) to fully clear it up. Toe socks really go a long way to prevent it from spreading or in my case now, coming back.
That being said, the best toe socks are sadly no more: Smartwool 100% merino. These Injinji's are the new best on the market (that I've tried), but the rather huge amount of poly and spandex means they don't wick quite as well nor breathe quite as well as the old Smartwools. Also, the lack of wools means they sacrifice heat retention/cooling ability once they get wet.
All that being said, they are comfortable and vastly superior to regular socks.
Being a Vibram owner and daily runner, these socks are FANTASTIC. They provide not only great comfort, but padding in the right places based on running on off road trails for hour or more every day. They are holding up well ,and more importantly for the wife, the wool completely prevents foot odor in the sock, or getting passed on to the shoe.
