I thought that the massdrop service said those who voted for this product in the poll would get the product for free??

tmdals0213I've used a few vv/vw mods and anything that's vv/vw is going to be more or less the same except form factor, build quality, and battery life. I went with an MVP2 as my first device since I didn't have to worry about buying rechargeable batteries and a charger, and I can easily go 3 days without a charge with heavy vaping. it's not pretty to look at but it's cheap, charges with usb, and gets the job done. you'll find that it's not as big as it seems

tmdals0213I have a first gen MVP (the one that's just VV), a Tesla, and a Vamo. I also have an eGo spinner, a regular eGo, and an eGo threaded USB passthrough. The MVP's my carry because it's so much easier not to have to worry about bringing batteries with me, but it lasts long enough for a multi day outing.
It's cheap, yes, and I personally don't like the iClears at all, but better than cheap is it works and works damn well. My MVP is well over a year old at this point and still has multi-day battery life for someone who chain vapes constantly. I've dropped it I don't even know how many times, including from my bicycle, and it's held up with only a handful of small nicks and scratches. If you can stomach the looks of a box mod (personally, I like 'em and they're great conversation starters) it's a nice cheap PV.

tmdals0213i stopped smoking cigs 2 days after getting my first real device (mvp2) and i didn't intend to stop smoking immediately (was going to use it to cut down) and actually enjoyed cigs BUT cigarettes really tasted like crap immediately after vaping for a few hours that i didn't look back. Lit 2 cigarettes a day for the first 2 days, I was a pack a day smoker, and haven't lit one up since.
the most important thing for you to keep your uncle on vaping and not smoking is the juice. you need something that mimics the same throat hit he gets from cigarettes. I've tried cheaper devices through the years and they never worked but once i got this unit in i was hooked. I'm not encouraging anyone to vape with nicotine but if you're looking at a cig replacement consider a mix along the lines of 18mg nic and 50pg/50vg, that should give him a good throat hit that he's accustomed to

RoudyruffKKAs a long time smoker (Marlboro Red) at first I really liked a blend of Soho (NicQuid Brand) and Pom Beach 18-24 mg...i am now strictly at Pom Beach...12-18mg. Cinnamon is a nice mouth burn substitute which mimics a cowboy killer red...but PomBeach tastes best to me now...am awaiting nice supply of "organics" from California...haaa!
Good luck to roudy's Uncle. Actual cinnamon sticks hand-to-mouth are a good substitute for cigs combined with nic vaping should be easiest and most healthy alternatives.
I have found I like the Kanger tanks at 1.8 ohms to be least offensive...but tell him to be prepared to experiment and do NOT be surprised at how picky he will get - taste and drawing (puffing) will change dramatically and quickly...encourage play with the flavors.
